Just finished Poppy War. Didn’t really work for me.
The setup was interesting enough, but I never connected with Rin. She annoyed me, and the way she justified her choices felt unconvincing. Altan didn’t do much for me either.
The anger and revenge theme at that scale doesn’t interest me. Won’t be continuing with the trilogy.
Not every book clicks, and this one didn’t.
